SHDF Scholarship 2024: This Scholarship program was initiated by the Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council in collaboration with the Sikh Human Development Foundation, is designed to provide financial aid to economically disadvantaged students in Punjab, New Delhi, and NCR. Aimed at students enrolled in professional degree courses, the scholarship offers Rs. 33,000 annually to those who qualify through a combination of written exams and personal interviews. This initiative particularly supports children from marginalized backgrounds, including orphans, children of widowed women, those with terminally ill parents, and children of farmers who have committed suicide.

The students who qualify for the examination will only be eligible for the scholarship. The scholarship will help around 7000 students now. Eligibility Criteria

The applying students must fulfil the following criteria before applying for the scholarship:

The applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab, Delhi and NCR.

Candidates must be enrolled in professional degree courses, diploma courses or post-graduate courses from a recognized university\college.

The annual family income of a candidate should not be more than 2,50,000\-.

Applicants must obtain at least 60% marks in their previous examination before appDocuments Required

DMC /Attested copies of Gazette of professional courses

A photocopy of the passbook’s cover or a cancelled check

Benefits

Students who get selected for the grant of the scholarship will get an amount up to Rs. 33,000/‐ per year for pursuing the Professional Degree/Diploma Courses. To continue the benefits, applicants have to submit a renewal application.

Application Process

Applicants need to follow the given instructions for filling out the registration form:

Applicants first need to visit the Official Nishkam Scholarship Website of the Sikh Human Development Foundation.

The SHDF Scholarship official website homepage will appear on your screen. Here you have to click on the option which says “Downloads”.

After that, a list of scholarships will appear on this page.

You have to scroll down to click on the Option of Scholarship Application Form for New Case- 2023.

Now the SHDF Scholarship Form will be downloaded on your device in Pdf format.

Print out the application form for further use.

Here you have to fill the following details:

Date of Birth Religion Whether belongs to SC / ST / OBC / General Gender Contact No Valid Email-ID Permanent Residential Address(in Capital Letters)Residing in a Rural Area or Urban Area Roll No. Full Name (in Capital Letters) Family details.

After filling in all these details you have to attach the required documents.

Now post your application form to the Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council, NishkamBhawan, B-Block, Tilak Vihar, New Delhi-110018” by courier before the last date.

Selection Process

The selection of students will be done based on a Written Examination.Test1- Elementary test in the

• Test 2- Religious and Moral studies
