ISHAN UDAY Scholarship 2024: Eligibility, Reward, How To Apply

The ISHAN UDAY Scholarship 2024, launched by Govt of India aims to overcome the financial gap hindering higher education access for economically week students from the North Eastern Region (NER). This Scholarship Program offers 10,000 scholarships to support students pursuing various courses. Eligible candidates, including UG students from NER with family incomes less than Rs. 4.5 lakhs annually, can receive financial aid of Rs. 5400 per month for General Degree courses and Rs. 7800 per month for Technical and Professional degrees.

To apply for the ISHAN UDAY Scholarship, candidates must fulfill eligibility criteria, including residency in NER, enrollment in UGC-approved colleges or University, and adherence to income thresholds. The selection process prioritizes academic performance, particularly in the 12th-grade examination, and aims to ensure equitable distribution across states. Applicants must submit relevant documents, undergo an online application process via the National Scholarship Portal, and track their application status through the portal.

ISHAN UDAY Scholarship 2024

Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria are required to apply for the ISHAN UDAY Scholarship Program. Students are advised to Read all The Points of Eligibility and Ineligible Criteria.

1. Only UG students are eligible to apply for ISHAN UDAY Scholarship 2024
2. The Applicant must have a domicile of North Eastern Region (NER).
3. An applicant must have passed class 12th from any recognized school in the eastern region.
4. The Applicant must have taken admission in professional General or technical courses in UGC approved college institution
5. If applicant have taken admitted in IG courses, then candidates can apply for this scholarship.
6. The annual family income should be less more than Rs. 4.5 lakhs.

Non-Eligible Candidates

The following Students are not be eligible under for ISHAN UDAY Scholarship 2024.

1. Students who are pursuing courses through open University
2. The applicants who already has a scholarship for pursuing the UG degree.
3. The student who have taken admission through the management quota.
4. The student who are pursuing diploma courses.
5. Students whose parents’ income is more more than Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum

Ishan Uday Scholarship 2024 Rewards

The students who are pursuing general degree courses are eligible to avail the benefit of a scholarship amount of ₹5,400 per month till the completion of their courses.

1. A monthly scholarship amount of ₹7,800 is given to those selected students who are pursuing technical/medical/professional/paramedical courses.
2. Rs.5400/- per month for a general degree course viz; B.A, B.Sc., B.Com, BMS, BBA etc.
3. Rs.7800/- per month for technical/medical/professional/paramedical courses ( (including MBBS, BAMS,BDS, B.Arch, B.Tech etc.)
4. The scholarship will not be renewed if the awardee fails in the annual or term end examinations of the course.

Documents Required For Uday Scholarship

The Following Documents Will Be Uploaded At The Time Of Applying Under The Scheme On The NeSP.

1. Domicile Certificate.

2. Proof Of Annual Income.

3. For Renewals, The Annual Progress Report And Continuation Of Studies of the Selectef Student Will Be Required To Be Uploaded/ Verified By The Concerned University/ Institution/ College.

Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme 2023-24 Selection Process

Under ISHAN UDAY Scholarship 2024 UGC will award 10,000 fresh scholarships every year for general degree courses, technical and professional courses, including medical & paramedical courses as certified by the Registrar/ Principal/ Director of University/ College/ Institute.

Distribution of scholarship amount amongst the North Eastern Region (NER) states will be done based on the population census(last).

If Scholarship Slots remain vacant in any of NER region due to the non-availability of eligible candidates, the scholarship amount will be transferred to official of ther States fot Distribution.

The reservation shall be followed as per Government of India norms for all communities including Persons with Disability (PwD).

How to Apply for Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme 2023-24?

To apply For ISHAN UDAY Scholarship 2024 Students need to follow the below steps to fill the online application form for Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme 2024:

Step 1 – Visit the official website of NSP (National Scholarship Portal)  scholarships.gov.in

Step 2 – Read the given instructions carefully and click on Continue.

Step 3 – On the next screen fill the details asked like State of domicile, name, date of birth, bank account details, Scholarship category, etc. then click on “Register” link

Step 4 – For the first-time login, OTP (One Time Password) will be sent by NSP on the above-given mobile number.

Step 5: Verify the mobile number by entering this OTP to complete the registration process.

Step 6 – Login and Fill Application form of ISHAN UDAY Scholarship 2024.

Step 7: Take A Printout after Final submission of application form.

How to Check Application Status

1. visit the Official Website of the National Scholarship Portal http://Scholarships.gov.in
2. Click on the Fresh/ Renewal Login option.
3. Select the year of application.
4. Enter the login details and click on Login
5. Now the applciation status page will open.
6. Enter the application number and click on the view option.
7. Save The application status for future use.
